Launch Oronsay

After World War Two, the Orient Line, like many other British and Commonwealth shipping companies, embarked on rebuilding their fleets due to their losses. Oronsay was launched on 30th June 1950, and was initially mainly used to transport people to new lives in Australia and NZ.
