Chusan leaving

After World War Two, P&O like many other British and Commonwealth shipping companies, embarked on rebuilding their fleets due to their losses. Chusan was launched on 28 June 1949, and used mainly on the UK to Australia/NZ route to transport thousands of people to new lives there. ('£10 Poms'). Chusan departing Barrow through dock complex with aid of tugs.
