Cargo ship 'Chiverstone' launched on the Tees 27 July 1897 and owned by Anning Bros. of Cardiff. Pictured in Devonshire dock alongside the warehouse. The forward hold is being emptied by a grain elevator and two men are painting the hull aft. An awning frame is rigged over the quarterdeck and foc'sle.
