HMS Vanguard In Buccleuch Dock
Late 1909
Looking Southeast across Buccleuch dock towards saint Georges church. Vanguard in the late stages of outfitting is being moved by tugs with many workers standing on the deck. Temporary water tanks are rigged aft of the rear funnel and sacks are piled forward probably to facilitate trials. Brazilian battleship Sao Paulo is being outfitted beneath the hammer head crane.
