An Astraea-class Royal Navy protected cruiser is moored alongside the quay at Ramsden Dock. A large rowing boat with crew members onboard is alongside. Other crew members can be seen performing various tasks including cleaning and painting. Town in the distance, large chimney and dock side cranes and part of the Buccleuch dock lifting bridge to the right. Depot ship for the ill-fated airship Mayfly.
