Submarine D1 (number 61) moored alongside the wall of Ramsden Dock, the dock gate is to the right. Furness Railway locomotive with goods wagons on the dockside in front of a workshop/warehouse building. Cargo crane at right end of the building. Several workers and sailors on the submarine casing and several more stood at the edge of the dock wall watching the proceedings.
