View of port side of ship approaching. Only visible people are on the bridge. No Flags flying. Built by Laird brothers of Birkenhead. She was launched in January 1893 by Mrs Little, Mayoress of Barrow-in-Furness. In 1914 she was requisitioned by the Admiralty and renamed HMS City of Belfast. The ship was built at Lairds Brothers of Birkenhead for Barrow Steam Navigation Company for the Furness-Belfast route. Sold to Midland railway 1907. Founderd in 1941 in the Mediterranean Sea off Egypt.
