Launched 1910 by Cammell Lairds, out of service by 1914 when she was chartered by the Admiralty. SS Snaefell was built by Cammell Lairds in 1910 and designed to carry mail, cargo and passengers. Triple expansion engines the first in the fleet - very economical. Sunk in the Mediterranean Sea in 1918. Third ship of that name for company.
