IOM steamer 'The Ramsey'
c.1912
View of port side of steamer going slowly in calm sea. No flags or passengers. Several crew visible including waiters etc. Launched 9th May 1895, sunk 8th August 1915. 1895 - 1911 called Duke of Lancaster and operated Fleetwood - Belfast for Lancashire & Yorkshire and London & North Western. Sold to a Turkish company, who refurbished her engine but could not take receipt due outbreak of Italian /Turkish war. Sold in July 1912 to IOM Steam Packet Company.
