Two funnels fwd and aft perhaps to drive pumps or compressors. YC 96 was built by Vickers for the dockyard at Sheerness, it had a lifting power of 1200 tons - suitable for lifting D and E class submarines. Y.C.96 is registered as an Admiralty Yard Craft ( Boom Defence) In WW1 Ships of the Royal Navy 1914-1919 Support and Harbour Vessels
