View of forward starboard quarter of passenger cargo ship under the Buccleuch Dock crane. Painted white and painting platform on outboard side. Poor negative condition. Ship was built for North German Lloyd Lines Bremen. Seized after WW1 and allocated to US Navy - Became USS Brandenburg before being allocated to trooping between Russia and England. Reverted to Alfred Holt Steamship co - representatives of the Admiralty. She was renamed shortly before being broken up in 1924. Renamed from SS Brandenburg in image 8070.
